- Heat Pump
Unlike a furnace, a heat pump doesn't burn fuel to make heat. It simply uses electricity to move heat from one place to another. A heat pump is an energy efficient way to cool your home in the summer and heat it in the winter. Today's heat pumps are required to have a HSPF of 8.5 and a SEER of at least 13.00 Trane offers a full line of heat pumps that range from 8.5 to 9.85 HSPF, and 13.00 to 19 SEER. Trane's XL20i heat pump offers you even greater comfort with two-stage cooling and three-stage heating. This means it operates at low speed most of the time. However, on days when more heating or cooling is required, it switches to the next stage for maximum comfort.
- Indoor Cooling Coil
To deliver the highest system efficiency, performance and comfort, an indoor cooling coil must be matched in size and rated with your air conditioner.
- Furnace
Trane furnaces are uniquely designed to provide maximum heat with minimum fuel usage. And they think for themselves. Key furnace control functions are integrated into one microelectronic system which monitors the thermostat and gas valve ensuring precise temperature control. The current minimum AFUE requirement for furnaces is 80 percent. Trane offers a full line of single-stage, two-stage and three-stage variable speed furnaces that range from 80 percent to 96.7 percent AFUE.
- Air Cleaner
An air cleaner is an integral part of a home comfort system, filtering dust and pollutants out of the air you breathe, and keeping your rugs and home furnishings cleaner, as well. Trane has always been an industry leader in home comfort. Now, we’re setting a new standard for clean indoor air with the revolutionary Trane CleanEffects™ air filtration system.
- Thermostat
The control center for your home comfort system. Trane's digital, programmable thermostats give you precise temperature control and allow you to program your heating and cooling requirements depending upon your lifestyle.
